Reception opening times:

We are happy to see you at any time during our normal opening hours, however access to the Estate is restricted if a wedding or event is taking place.

Monday & Tuesday – 9.30 till 2.30pm

Wednesday to Saturday 9.30 till 6.00pm

Sunday 9.30 till 12.00 midday

Bank Holiday Mondays- Closed

Christmas Day & Boxing Day – Closed

Between the 26th December to 5th January we are Closed for our annual Christmas holiday.

Commis Chef

We are looking for hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to join our happy team here at Blakelands doing what we do best, weddings!

Blakelands Country House is a unique privately owned wedding venue in the heart of South Staffordshire Countryside. We exclusively cater for weddings and various events with a maximum up to 120 sit down meal and 200 for evening buffets. With a dedicated onsite catering team producing all food on site.

We are looking for a full time Commis Chef with a strong passion for cooking high standards of food within our kitchen team. Candidates of all experience levels will be considered.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain our individual standard in food quality & presentation.

Operate standard kitchen equipment safely & efficiently.

Adhere to health & safety regulations, company polices & procedures for food.

Check and manage food deliveries & store accordingly (adhering to stock rotation)

Be flexible to work a full spectrum of shifts in accordance with business needs.

A high level of attention to detail.

Working Schedule

Shift Work from Thursday to Monday

35 hours a week guaranteed plus overtime

Due to rural location, no public transport is available so private transportation is essential

Salary: £19,000.00-£21,000 per year

 

Venue Porter

We have a role available for one individual as an Assistant to the weddings team in helping make couples dream days come true.

The job is labour intensive and involves helping set up the venue for the ceremonies and wedding breakfasts as well as maintaining and cleaning outdoor areas in between each wedding. Additionally, the successful candidate will also work closely with our Kitchen team to help coordinate the wash up team and maintain our high cleanliness standards.

Due to rural location, no public transport is available so private transportation is essential

20+ hours a week guaranteed.

Part time and full time contracts available

Shift work from Thursday-Monday

Any hospitality experience is an advantage

£10.50 per hour

Chef de Partie

£19,000- £23,500 per annum

 

We are looking for a full time Chef de Partie with a strong passion for cooking high standards of food within our kitchen team.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain our individual standard in food quality & presentation.

Operate standard kitchen equipment safely & efficiently.

Adhere to health & safety regulations, company polices & procedures for food.

Check and manage food deliveries & store accordingly (adhering to stock rotation)

Be flexible to work a full spectrum of shifts in accordance with business needs.

A high level of attention to detail.

Experience:

The ideal Chef must have at least a minimum of 3/4 years of experience in a professional kitchen. However, all experience levels will be considered.

Capable of cooking an array of items from our wedding breakfast menu, such as homemade canapés, pâté, soup’s, roulades and cheesecakes….. etc.

Good time management is crucial because we have tight time schedules to keep to on wedding days.

Being competent to run your own section/buffets.

Bar Staff

We have positions available as Bar Staff within our Service Team to help make our couples dream days come true. Our bar team works in two set shift pattern, day shifts 12pm-7pm and evening shifts 6pm-1am. Times vary from wedding to wedding but often follow this general pattern.

Due to rural location, no public transport is available so private transportation is essential

Roles can be available from 14 hours per week

Bar experience essential

Shift work from Thursday-Sunday

£10.50 per hour

Senior Waiting Staff

We have positions available as Senior Waiting Staff within our Service Team to help make our couples dream days come true. Our team works in three set shift patterns, breakfast shifts 8am-11am, wedding breakfast shifts 3pm-6pm and evening supper shifts from 7.30pm-11pm. Times vary from wedding to wedding but often follow this general pattern.

Successful candidates will gain a position in our team, starting on wedding breakfast shifts but also would be able to pick up other shifts dependant on personal availability and enthusiasm.

Due to rural location, no public transport is available so private transportation is essential

Roles can be available from 6 to 20 hours per week

Some catering experience essential, silver service training a bonus.

Shift work from Thursday-Sunday

£10.50 per hour

Washing Up Staff

We have positions available as Washing Up Staff within our Kitchen Team to help make our couples dream days come true. Our Kitchen team works in three set shift pattern, breakfast shifts 10am-1pm, wedding breakfast shifts 2pm-7pm and supper shifts 8pm-11pm. Times vary from wedding to wedding but often follow this general pattern.

Due to rural location, no public transport is available so private transportation is essential

Roles can be available either zero hours or part time set hours.

Shift work from Thursday-Sunday

£6-£9 per hour dependant on applicant
