More About us

A little bit more about us – With only a single sitting, bookings are taken on an arrival time basis allowing time to have a drink in the bar area while you peruse the menu & wine list and generally relax to a quieter pace. As well as locally sourced foods on the menu, you will also find locally sourced drinks in the bar. Real ale from the Enville Brewery, as well as wines from the nearby Award Winning Halfpenny Green Vineyards.

Orders are taken while in the bar & shown through to your table when Chef is ready, and with only one sitting ever taken, the emphasis is on relaxed dining, where Heather and her team guide you effortlessly through your course’s.

The Restaurant seats 40 with individual tables available upto 12, the mix of different size tables provides for an open but intimate setting.
The table is yours for as long as you wish to take over your meal, making this an ideal restaurant for that special occasion or to catch up with old friends.

Our menu runs with familiar favourites throughout the year, our Winter Menu runs through January & February, with our Spring Menu for March, April & May, swopping to our Summer Menu for June thru to September & finally our Autumn Menu for October & November. During December, the Christmas Season Menu will be served. In addition, Special Menus are served for events such as Valentines, Mothers day & our popular Pie Week & Steak Weeks.
The menu’s are decided upon in conjunction with our Head Chef Richard Kenny & Restaurant Owner Heather Morgan.

We have a strong belief in sourcing our ingredients from local suppliers, but not at the expense of quality. Our suppliers come from our own county of Staffordshire and also the neighbouring counties of Worcestershire & Shropshire, with locally grown produce sourced through W. H. Grinnal of Kidderminster, & our Steaks & Meats coming from Martin Thomas Butchers of Pattingham, even our chips, potatoes, steaks & meats are cooked using a Shropshire Rape seed oil from Bennett & Dunn.

Our Evening Menus are individually priced by the course, Sunday Lunch is simply priced for three courses. Afternoon Tea is also avaialble from 3.30pm on certain Sundays.

We always ensure the menus cater for all tastes, from the simple, well cooked, to dishes with a more exotic flare.

Current menu’s can be downloaded from The Food page or telephone and we will happily post or email a copy to you and our range of drinks can be seen on The Drink page

We would however point out that unless you have booked for a private meal, with exclusive use of the restaurant, that for the comfort of our other diners, the saying of Grace or Speeches at the table is not permissible and that we are unable to take tables larger than 12 guests unless exclusivity is booked, when a maximum of 28 is possible.

For the comfort of all diners, regretfully, on Saturday Evenings the restaurant is not suitable for young children.

The Restaurant has ample off road car parking and we are well served by local taxi firms, there is also a large helicopter landing area.
